Lucian watched the recent debate on BBC London about knife crime in the capital. This was his reaction on Facebook, re-printed with his permission. We thought he made some very interesting points:
Watched knife wars or whatever the rubbish show was called .. instantly thought after the show about me coming up I don’t talk a lot about my life publicly but you see after being shot .. stabbed .. rushed .. thrown in jail you get the picture I think I can comment half these ppl who talk ain’t walked the road a few of us have .. some by choose others born into in it .. My mum tried her best and was on me but in the end your gonna do what your gonna do .. one person said search the kids OK.. I hide the knife while I go in the house ??♂️ one person said they need funding for youth clubs I agree but not gonna happen .. a next said that gangs started in the 80s for black ppl to protect themselves OK so what about the gangsters in the 50s 60s 70s etc I think a lot has to be done regarding the mental health of our young ppl PTSD is real
All those ppl and they all missed a huge FACT that a majority of young ppl in this country suffer from PTSD and they don’t even know
.. the trauma of losing a loved one at any age naturally is bad enough but at such young ages seeing a friend killed or seriously hurt or yourself hurt will as I can speak first hand have a serious effect on you and not having the right help can only have worse effects make you numb to emotions and result in you lashing out they need help not prison they need guidance..
THROW someone in jail they either grow there criminal empire or pass there time in the gym or whatever
The kids need active males they can relate too one mentor looked like he got bullied at school and ain’t no gang banger gonna look at him respect his word .. at 12/13 I’m saying: “show me your scars, tell me your story, how did you get out and make it?” not hearing you got stabbed while they robbed you and now you wanna come chat to man …
They Need to LIFT THE CRB CHECK AND ALLOW REAL GUYS WHO HAVE CHANGED THEIR LIVES AROUND TO CHAT TO THESE YUTES AND GIVE THEM THE REALNESS
