Enter our photography competition for a chance to win a paid assignment for UnderworldTV and have your work shown in an exhibition at Peckham Levels and on our website.
The Competition
Applicants are invited to submit photographs relating to the following themes: ‘Streetlife, Crime and London’s Underworld’.
The winner will receive a paid assignment to capture moments from one of our most exciting upcoming projects. Check out our site and social media for inspiration and clues as to which project you’ll be involved in.
The winner and runners up will have their entries displayed in an exhibition held at Peckham Levels.
How to enter
All submissions to be emailed to ‘photography@underworld.tv’. All images to be submitted in the highest resolution possible. Entries may be taken on any camera device available to the applicant, including phones. Applicants may submit up to three images for adjudication.
Submissions must be received by 6pm on 31st January 2019
Experience in the world of crime is not necessary to enter this competition. However, entries must be conscious of our mission and values.
UnderworldTV’s mission is:

Please read the terms and conditions below to join our ‘Underworld’ Photography Competition.

The terms and conditions are as follows:
1. This competition is open to anyone except for employees of Underworld Productions Limited, their families or anyone else associated with this competition.
2. All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3. Entries should be submitted by via email to photography@underworld.tv Entries must be labelled with the entrant’s name and location of the photograph and image files must be submitted in the highest resolution possible. Entrants should include their own name, address and telephone number. We regret that we are unable to accept postal entries.
4. All entries must be received by 6pm on the 31st January 2019.
5. All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere or have won a prize in any other photographic competition. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject where faces are identifiable and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
6. Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of their providing the Competition, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to Underworld Productions Limited to feature any or all of the submitted images on any of their social media accounts, their websites, their broadcast projects in any media and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition.
7. A maximum of three entries per person will be accepted. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
8. The winning entry will be that that is judged to be the most visually appealing, original, self-explanatory and in keeping with UnderworldTV’s ‘Mission’ and ‘Values’. The winner will be notified within fourteen days of the closing date of the competition.
9. The winner and runners up will have their photographs displayed in an exhibition held at Peckham Levels. The winner and runners up will be fully credited for their work.
10. The winner will also be offered the opportunity of a paid assignment to cover one of our upcoming projects for TV, our website or social media. The winner will be fully credited for their work when their images are displayed and paid for their work.
11. The winners may be required to take part in publicity.
12. The prizes as described are available on the date of publication. All prizes are non transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
13. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
14. English law applies and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail.
